New Fire Chief Appointed

Jimmy White is officially the new Fire Chief of the Runaway Bay Volunteer Fire Department, as of Tuesday's council meeting. He was interim chief previously. Based on the new ordinance, Fire Chief White will recommend candidates to the Director of Public Safety, Drew Paschall. Then DOS will seek council approval after reviewing his choices. Other than the Fire Chief, everyone is interim until the application and background check process is complete.

A new pumper truck has been purchased with the donated funds from the Ladies Golf Association. The pumper holds 1000 gallons of water and will be able to pump 1,250 gallons per minute.
